update on life.

april & may have been CARAZY! so crazy, that i have forgotten to post about easter!!!!!! yikes. it was, as always, the best! check out the few pics i have, i need to get more from my mom...
jett was so pumped for his first easter! he loved it so much!
thanks grammy for the easter presents!

all the boys waiting patiently to go outside and hunt for eggs!
this is the last pic i have from the weekend. good thing it's so cute!

after spending almost a week up north for easter it was time to come back home and prepare for the last few weeks of school, and the talent sprout showcase. things got hectic to say the least. good thing my mom came down to help with it all. kody and i love when she comes down to hang out with us. jett loves his grammy!!!!!
with school coming to an end, so did babysitting carter. him and jett became besties! jord and i have some fun things planned this summer to get these boys back together!

and in the middle of it all was mother's day!!!
and i'm a mom now so it means so much more! i have a whole new appreciation for all the moms in my life, ESPECIALLY my own! love you mom!!!
the whole weekend was fantastic. i love these boys!!!!
we spent the evening up at kody's moms with family...

jett has also turned 9 months... and then 10 months...
oops.
i didn't think it was a big deal to not write about his little milestones, until i went to start his "1 whole year of jett" book. turns out the blog came in handy! so here's a few things that is happening in this crazy kids' life...
he lovessssss to stand. that is all he wants to do. he walks all around the couch, ottoman, and his little table all day. when he does sit down long enough to maybe think about crawling, he just gets on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth. he's started to crawl backwards now, which just frustrate the crap out of him.
he has 4 teeth now. 2 on top 2 on bottom. he was a champ through the whole thing, we barely knew.
he eats and eats. he is loving his #3 foods, and we also give him things we are eating here and there.
he has just started the "screaming" phase. it was really shocking at first because his cry has always been pretty quiet.
he babbles all day. it's so cute, because it mostly comes out like a song. so he sings to me all day long. i'm hoping he's taking after his aunt lyndy.
helmet update: our last appt. was about 2 weeks ago and the doc says he's looking great! which makes me thrilled, because with the hot weather it is getting impossible to keep it on. when we are out and about he gets so sweaty and uncomfortable, and he can't wear it swimming. he is still wearing it about 20 hours a day, so it is great to hear he is almost done! wahoo!
he loves being outside. it's a good thing because that is where we spend 80% of our day. either at the pool, the park, or the splash pad with friends.
we like to take walks around our little neighborhood. jett loves it!!! we usually end up at the park so he can swing. cause he clearly is obsessed with it...

this weekend was spent with the rogers' family in celebration of kody's little bro kyle. he is heading to iraq in a couple weeks. he's the best (you can see him in the pic above with jett), and we are going to miss him so much!!!!! be safe ky.
the weekend was great. all the cousins came into town to have a camp out, and paintball the next day. kody was in heaven. we got together when they were done for a bbq and swimming. families are the best, and we love ours!
now, i am going on week 2 of my 2 week break. it has been fabulously relaxing, and i have been enjoying every minute of it!

*gluten free/raw diet update*
i have been doing great! today was day 4 and i'm feeling wonderful. i have found that if i am able to "cheat" (i hate saying that word because i don't really see this as a "diet", just a way to feel better) once a day, i stay focused, and 1 cheat doesn't really affect the way i feel too much. as in "cheat" i mean like today i had a slice of homemade banana bread. an example of one of my meals would be salmon, green leafy salad topped with tomatoes, grapes, and cottage cheese, and zucchini on the side. i have learned some tips that make it so much easier, like:
committing to going to the grocery store every other day
"cheating" once a day
family bbqs are to eat at, so don't get discouraged! just remember how you feel afterwards and try and do better next time! those hotdogs get me every time...
so there ya have it. a little rogers' update!
